Staff Comments: The property owner reported a vacancy hold to the City on 11/15/18. Waste Management did not update their billing database to reflect 1 vacant unit. Waste Management would like to credit back $48.05 for the Quarter 4 2018 bill and $96.08 for the Quarter 1 2019 bill. Waste Management would like to reduce the pending assessment for Quarter 1 2019 by $144.13 down to $28.44. The Quarter 2 2019 pending assessment has been reduced to $60.83. The property owner changed his cart size to the 35-gallon Small Every Other Week cart in Februrary, which is the smallest and least expensive service level option.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during January to March 2019. (File No. CG1902C3, Assessment No. 190111) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore...
