Approving the Mayor’s appointments of Caitlyn Brady, Sam Adams, Esmae Heveron, Tou Fang, Trever Harwell, and reappointment of Nate Nins to the Neighborhood STAR Board.
Body
WHEREAS, Minnesota Law 377, Article 3, Section 21, Subdivision 2 states that the Neighborhood STAR Board consists of three residents from each of the seven city council wards, for a total of 21 members and that the mayor must appoint the members subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the city council, and
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood STAR Board is to be made up of at a total of 21 members, with a term length of four years and a three-term limit; and
WHEREAS, Nate Nins, resident of Ward 5, has expressed interest in being reappointed as a member of the Neighborhood STAR Board; and
WHEREAS, Caitlyn Brady (Ward 2), Sam Adams (Ward 4), Esmae Heveron (Ward 6), Tou Fang (Ward 6) and Trever Harwell (Ward 7) have applied for appointment to the Neighborhood STAR Board and are recommended by staff; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to reappoint Nate Nins to the Neighborhood STAR Board for a four-year term ending on July 31, 2030; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to appoint Caitlyn Brady, Sam Adams, Esmae Heveron, Tou Fang, and Trever Harwell to the Neighborhood STAR Board for a three-year term ending on July 31, 2029; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Nate Nins to a four-year term on the Neighborhood STAR Board ending on July 31, 2030; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Caitlyn Brady, Sam Adams, Esmae Heveron, Tou Fang, and Trever Harwell to the Neighborhood STAR Board for a three-year term ending on July 31, 2029.
