Title

Authorizing the Police Department to accept the second amendment to the sub-grant agreement from the Saint Paul and Ramsey County Domestic Abuse Intervention Project and add grant activity budget.

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) received a sub-grant from the Saint Paul and Ramsey County Domestic Abuse Intervention Project (SPIP) for the Blueprint Accessibility, Zero-Bias, Enhancement Project (BLAZE) grant (RES PH 23-168); and

WHEREAS, the SPIP has amended the sub-grant agreement to extend to August 15, 2026, and is offering a second amendment to the agreement to increase the SPPD budget from $294,440 to $306,708.33; and

WHEREAS, the additional funds will be used to extend funding for the investigator assigned to the project through the expiration of the grant; and

WHEREAS, activity budget needs to be added for these funds; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor to accept the amendment to the sub-grant agreement and approves these changes to the grant activity budget as amended on the attached financial analysis.
