Title

Authorizing the Saint Paul Fire Department to accept a grant of $10,000 from the Bush Foundation.

Body

WHEREAS, the Bush Foundation has offered a grant to the Saint Paul Fire Department of $10,000 in support of the Saint Paul EMS Academy, and

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department would like to accept the grant from the Bush Foundation, and

WHEREAS, the public purpose of the Saint Paul EMS Academy is to give participants the opportunity to prepare for careers in fire and/or EMS service, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, accept this grant of $10,000 from the Bush Foundation and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
