Body

WHEREAS, The Familiar LLC d/b/a The Familiar ("Licensee") submitted a new location application for the Liquor On Sale (100 seats or less) and Entertainment (A) licenses (License ID #DSIBLLIQ-001644-2026) for the premises located at 949 Grand Ave., Unit #102; and
WHEREAS, On July 24, 2026, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification with a response date of August 8, 2026; and
WHEREAS, On July 29, 2026, the Licensee signed a License Condition Affidavit agreeing to follow all conditions that are in place; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to its recommended approval of the new location application for the Liquor On Sale (100 seats or less) and Entertainment (A) licenses; and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds to deny approval of the new location application; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, That the new location application for the Liquor On Sale (100 seats or less) and Entertainment (A) licenses (License ID #DSIBLLIQ-001644-2026) is hereby approved and issued to The Familiar LLC d/b/a The Familiar for the premises located at 949 Grand Ave., Unit #102 with the following license conditions:
1. Licensee agrees to operate the establishment in compliance with Section 409.02 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code as a “Restaurant”.

2. Licensee agrees to close the establishment at 12:00 a.m. midnight. All patron/customers shall vacate the premises by 12:30 a.m. each day of the week as per Section 409.02 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code.
