Title

Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into a hazardous materials emergency response timeline extension with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the time period of July 1 through September 30, 2012.

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department entered into a hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota, and

WHEREAS, the original contract was approved on Council Resolution 08-100, and

WHEREAS, the first contract amendment was approved on Council Resolution 09-922, and

WHEREAS, the second contract amendment was approved on Council Resolution 11-2242, and

WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, through a timeline extension to the original contract has extended the end date of the original contract, and

NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a hazardous materials emergency response contract timeline extension with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety as provided by the Fire Department; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
