Body

WHEREAS on September 22, 2021, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council Files RLH TA 21-97, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Property Clean Up services during August 3 to 14, 2020. (File No. J2105A2, Assessment No. 218522)

 

WHEREAS, the property at 1817 Maryland Avenue East, being described as: Hazel Park Division 5 to St. Paul Lot 26 Blk 7, with the property identification number 23-29-22-33-0189 was assessed an amount of $450.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommended ratifying the assessment and payable in one installment as there was one similar violation from April 19, 2021 which resulted in a work order; and

 

WHEREAS, the owner reached out to staff and stated that she thought this would get reduced.  Staff looked into file further and noted that there was no similar violation.  Due to this error, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends reducing the assessment from $450 to $225; and

 

WHEREAS, after not having successful contact with staff, owner paid the full amount on November 12.  Now, Therefore Be It,

 

RESOLVED, that Council Files RLH TA 21-97 is hereby amended to reduce from $450 to $225 and Office of Financial Services will refund the difference.
