Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation, in the amount of $800, from the North End Community Foundation for the McDonough Recreation Center Halloween Party.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, through recreation centers and programs, offers many events, classes, and activities for youth and families in the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the North End Community Foundation is a non-profit in the North End focused on supporting the North End neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the North End Community Foundation wishes to donate $800 for use in 2025 to enhance youth programming within the City of Saint Paul at McDonough Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, funding will be used to support youth programming at McDonough Recreation Center, and in particular, the McDonough Recreation Center Halloween Party; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said cash donation from the North End Community Foundation to support youth activities and programing at the above Saint Paul Recreation Centers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this cash donation has a public purpose; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation Department to accept said donation from the North End Community Foundation and thanks them for their generous donation.
