Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into an agreement with HealthEast Care System to allow the Saint Paul Fire Department access to patient data online.

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement between the Saint Paul Fire Department and HealthEast Care System to allow the fire department access to the most compliant and secure patient data online from the HealthEast Care System following the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations provided by the Saint Paul Fire Department; a copy of said agreement which includes an indemnification clause, is to be be kept on file and of record in the Fire Department.
