Third Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 698 DESOTO STREET in Council File RLH RR 22-16.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 22-16 on November 9, 2022 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 698 Desoto Street; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on October 25, 2022 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions to be 75% addressed; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an updated plan and financing for the completion of the abatement and recommends that the City Council grant an additional 180 days to address the nuisance/dangerous conditions at this property and continued the $5,000 performance deposit; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing reviewed this case again on May 9, 2023 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were abated, as evidenced by the Code Compliance Certificate issued April 21, 2023; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the Legislative Hearing officer that the nuisance condition is abated and the matter resolved.
