Authorizing the Fire Department and the Saint Paul Fire Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of Public Works, to place signs around the City of Saint Paul to recognize the 62 firefighters who have died in the line of duty since 1855.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to recognize the 62 firefighters that died in the line of duty by placing a sign at or near where the firefighter lost their life, and
WHEREAS, the signs will honor the life and work of these brave firefighters, and
WHEREAS, this project will be completed at no cost to the City of Saint Paul, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, approve this resolution to remember the 62 firefighters that made the ultimate sacrifice for the City of Saint Paul.
