Approving the Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the Tri-Council (LIUNA Laborers, Local 563; General Drivers, Local 120; and Operating Engineers, Local 49) for a 2026 interim wage increase during their reorganization transition. (To be laid over one week for adoption)

Whereas, the last Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the Tri-Council (LIUNA Laborers, Local 563; General Drivers, Local 120; and Operating Engineers, Local 49) which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on July 12, 2023, continues in full force and effect through December 31, 2025, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and
Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and the Tri-Council (LIUNA Laborers, Local 563; General Drivers, Local 120; and Operating Engineers, Local 49) reached a tentative agreement on a Memorandum of Agreement for a 2026 interim wage increase while they are in transition of reorganization that, once approved, shall be effective as of April 1, 2026 (or closest pay period) until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; now therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council, pursuant to the Saint Paul City Charter Section 6.03.3(5) hereby approves and ratifies the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the Tri-Council (LIUNA Laborers, Local 563; General Drivers, Local 120; and Operating Engineers, Local 49).
