Authorizing an increase in the Department of Parks and Recreation Grant Fund in the amount of $25,000 to reflect grant funds received from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) (authorization to enter into a grant agreement detailing the requirements of said grant, which includes an indemnification clause) and to amend the Department of Parks and Recreation Grant Fund to reflect said funds to support the St. Paul Get Down program.
Body
WHEREAS, by Res #25-741, the Department of Parks and Recreation applied for and has received $25,000 from the MRAC Flexible Support FY25 Grant; and
WHEREAS, grant funds will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide support for the St. Paul Get Down program; and
WHEREAS, there is no match amount required; and
WHEREAS, the Flexible Support FY25, MRAC grant funds require that the Department of Parks and Recreation enter into a grant agreement, which includes an indemnification clause; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that funds to provide quality music arts programming for Saint Paul youth has a public purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this grant and utilize the funding through the spending plan that has been developed; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to amend the Grant Fund budget to reflect this additional funding; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $25,000 more than those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-Date Grant Budget; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to execute the necessary grant agreement with MRAC to accept and utilize these funds, ...
