WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is building a new segment of L'Orient Street from Cayuga St. to Pennsylvania Avenue as part of the I-35E Cayuga Bridge Project.
WHEREAS, the creation of this new street section requires renaming the existing blocks of L'Orient between Granite St. and Acker Street to avoid duplication.
WHEREAS, the one property owner with an address on the existing portion of L'Orient Street has been notified of the need for the street name change; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the two block segment of L'Orient Street bounded by Acker and Granite Streets, as shown on the attached map, is officially renamed as OLD L'ORIENT STREET; and be it further
RESOLVED, that this street name change shall be in effect on July 1, 2014.
