Body
WHEREAS, the City Council on July 9, 2014, by Resolution number 14-1157 and on October 22, 2014 by Resolution number 14-1726 and by Resolution number 14-1724  authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council for Livable Communities Demonstration Account (LCDA) for New Phalen Village,72 Cesar Chavez, Payne and Busch Street, and the River Balcony projects; and Tax Base Revitalization Account (TBRA) grants for the Schmidt Keg House and University and Vandalia Mixed use sites; and DEED Contamination Cleanup Grants for Opus West 7th, and Dorothy Day Higher Ground; and
     
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved LCDA grants of $700,000 for New Phalen Village, $550,000 for the 72 Cesar Chavez, $20,000 for the Payne and Busch Street, and $100,000 for the River Balcony, and TBRA grants of $24,327 for the Schmidt Keg House, and $28,200 for the University and Vandalia; and DEED Cleanup grants of $200,000 for the Opus West 7th Street project, and $368,982 for Dorothy Day Higher Ground.
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $1,991,489 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2015 budget and recommends the changes to the 2015 budget identified on Attachment A:
 
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts this grant and approves the changes identified on Attachment A to the 2015 budget.
