Appeal of Nathan Malmgren to a Notice of Condemnation and Order to Remain Vacate at 71 MANITOBA AVENUE.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Teleconference on Thursday, September 3, 2026, 10:00 a.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  Want to save the house as its the only home I have.  Would prefer to avoid homelessness. 

Date of Order(s) Under Appeal:  August 28, 2026

Inspector/Key Staff:  Keith Demarest

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Salena Murphy completed the appeal application. There are no Legislative Hearings the week of September 6, Fire staff are not available the week of September 13, so hearing is scheduled for September 3.  Ms. Murphy would like to be called if Mr. Malmgren--who cannot attend in person--does not pick up the phone for the teleconference.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Nathan Malmgren to a Notice of Condemnation and Order to Remain Vacate at 71 MANITOBA AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council  [recommendation]; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
