Appeal of Yee Fang, Naocha Management, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 720 COOK AVENUE EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, September 5, 2023, teleconference between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  Building was sent on fire by tenant on the deck (back deck).  We're working with insurance claim to cover the fire damage.  The fire did not go through inside of the building.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Yee Fang, Naocha Management, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 720 Cook Avenue East, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council 1) deny the appeal; 2) require Code Compliance Certificate prior to reoccupation; and 3) waive the vacant building fee for 90 days to November 14, 2023; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
