Body

AMENDED 2/19/25

 

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-1727 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during the time period of May 2 to July 24, 2024; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on February 19, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and

 

WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:

 

RLH TA 25-37:  1133 Arundel Street;

RLH TA 25-62:  1549 University Avenue West;

RLH TA 25-12:  1822 Ford Parkway;

RLH TA 25-54:  1452 Hazelwood Street;

RLH TA 25-56:  685 Minnehaha Avenue East;

RLH TA 25-55:  1549 University Avenue West;

RLH TA 25-XX:  delete 273 Cottage Avenue West for March 4, 2025 Legislative Hearing; and

 

WHEREAS, the assessments will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and

 

RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
