Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $51,078.80 for a grant received from the Metropolitan Emergency Service Board.
Body
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Emergency Service Board reached out to the Fire Department in March 2024 to provide reimbursement for opiate antagonist (Narcan) costs; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to reimburse the Fire Department for costs relating to opiate antagonist cost from March 7, 2023 - September 28, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation of funds of $51,078.80 in excess of those estimated in the 2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the addition as specified in the attachment "MESB $51,078.80 Financial Analysis" to be made to the 2024 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant from the Metropolitan Emergency Service Board and approves the changes in the 2024 budget.
