Accepting a $1,000 grant from the Readers Digest "We Hear You America" Contest.

WHEREAS, Readers Digest presented the City of Saint Paul a $1,000 grant through the "We Hear You America" contest; and,
WHEREAS, the intent of the "We Hear You America" contest is to provide financial and promotional support to support American Cities hurt by the recession; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has created the Central Corridor Ready for Rail Small Business Mitigation Loan and Grant Program to assist businesses along the Central Corridor during the construction of the light rail line;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City accepts the grant of $1,000 from Readers Digest and directs that the funds be utilized by the Central Corridor Ready for Rail Small Business Mitigation Loan and Grant Program; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City thanks Readers Digest for their generous donation.
