Approving the applications of Wabasha Brewing Company for two sound level variances in order to present amplified sound for a Weekends at Wabasha - Fridays May and June Event Series and a Weekends at Wabasha - Saturdays May and June Event Series, May 2 - June 28, 2025, at 429 Wabasha Street S - Wabasha Brewing Company.

WHEREAS, Chapter 293 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code was enacted to regulate the subject of noise in the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, §293.09 provides for the granting of variances from the sound level limitations contained in §293.07, upon a finding by the City Council that full compliance with Chapter 293 would constitute an unreasonable hardship on the applicant, other persons or on the community; and
WHEREAS, Wabasha Brewing Co, represented by Deanna Vastine, Events Coordinator, who has been designated as the responsible person on the application, has applied for a variance, at a requested sound level limit of 80 dBA at no specified distance from the sound source, to present amplified sound for a Weekends at Wabasha Fridays May and June Event Series and a Weekends at Wabasha Saturdays May and June Event Series at 429 Wabasha Street S; and
Deanna Vastine, Wabasha Brewing Co, Events Coordinator, has requested two sound level variances, for 80 dBA at no specified distance, to present amplified sound with use of a sound system for a Weekends at Wabasha -Fridays May and June Event Series on May 2, 9, 23, June 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a pre-event sound check at 4:30 p.m. The Weekends at Wabasha- Saturdays May and June Event Series are May 3, 10, 24, June 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a pre-event sound check at 12:30 p.m.
WHEREAS, applicant has requested a variance for the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a pre-event sound check at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, May 2, 9, 23, June 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2025 for a Weekend at Wabasha- Fridays Event Series and from 1:00 ...
