Purpose of Appeal
Homeowner wants to replace her windows but doesn't want casements. The double hung window meets egress opening height and width but not area. We are requesting a variance to allow a double hung be allowed to be installed. I have included the specs of the window.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Molly McGrane, on behalf of Window World, to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 1260 GROTTO STREET NORTH, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 4-inch variance on the openable height of three double hung replacement egress bedroom windows measuring 20 inches high by 23.21 inches wide; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
