Authorizing the establishment of a spending account for grant funds from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to purchase and to install electric vehicle charging stations.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency secured a $500,000 grant from the Metropolitan Council and the $125,000 of required match to procure and to install approximately 76 electric vehicle charging stations in the metro area and; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is subgranting $71,684 of those funds and Xcel Energy is providing a $7,590 grant to the City of Saint Paul to purchase and install additional charging stations; and
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2012, the City Council approved accepting the grant funds and authorized executing the grant agreements and contracts in resolution #12-2071; and
WHEREAS, a 2013 financing and spending plan in the amount of $79,274 needs to be established for this grant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $79,274 in excess of those estimated in the 2013 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2013 budget:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these changes to the 2013 budget.
