Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Vehicle license held b y Nasir Alameri d/b/a Blue & White Service Corporation for the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Taxicab Vehicle license held by Nasir Alameri d/b/a Blue & White Service Corporation (License ID #20100000748) for the City of Saint Paul by Notice of Violation dated October 7, 2010, alleging licensee submitted a Automobile Liability insurance certificate with a lapse in coverage from July 28, 2010 until September 3, 2010; and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 310.05(m) (2), the licensing office recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty; and
WHEREAS, the licensees insurance agent did respond to the Notice of Violation to inquire about setting up a payment plan, but the licensee then failed to follow-up with DSI to set up the payment plan; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Violation stated that if the licensee failed to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a hearing by October 18, 2010, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Nasir Alameri d/b/a Blue & White Service Corporation is hereby ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00 for submitting a Automobile Liability insurance certificate with a lapse in coverage from July 28, 2010 until September 3, 2010. Payment of such penalty shall be made within thirty days of the date of the adoption of this resolution.
