WHEREAS on March 27, 2024, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File RLH AR 24-9, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during May 9 to August 14, 2023. (File No. VB2405, Assessment No. 248804)
WHEREAS, the property at 593 Cook Avenue East, being described as: Arlington Hills Addition to St. Paul 40/45 Thru 49 Lot 19 Blk 5, with the property identification number 29-29-22-13-0050 was assessed an amount of $5,075; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends reducing the levied and certified assessment from $5,075 to $2,536 because the building permit was finaled halfway through in November, but the department did not close the file until June 2024 and this was 6 months rather than 12 months that the certificate of code compliance was issued; Now, Therefore Be It,
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $5,075, plus any accrued interests, is reduced to $2,536 and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this from the 2025 Property Taxes Statement.
