Accepting the gift of tickets from the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club to the City of Saint Paul for the St. Paul Saints season opener on May 21, 2015.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul and the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club have partnered to develop and operate the new downtown municipal stadium named CHS Field which serves as the new home of the St. Paul Saints, Hamline University varsity baseball, and which will be the venue for many community sports and entertainment events; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 2015, the St. Paul Saints will have their Season Opener, and grand opening of CHS Field, an event of great public importance; and
WHEREAS, the attendance at the Season Opener by City elected officials and by other City employees who have worked to make CHS Field a reality serves the public purpose of promoting this new city-owned facility; and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club has offered to donate 206 tickets valued at $6,180 to the City of Saint Paul for the Season Opener in recognition of the City's role as owner and developer of CHS Field.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the gift from the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club of 206 tickets valued at $6,180 to the City of Saint Paul for the Season Opener; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby finds a public purpose in the use of these tickets by the City elected officials and by other City employees and appropriates them for that purpose; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul thanks the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club for its donation and for its continued partnership with the City to develop and operate CHS Field.
