Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department budget in the amount of $245,869.00 to accept the 2010 Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Grant to provide a MMRS Regional Planner position, purchase personal protective equipment for EMS responders, and maintain ambulance equipment.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint paul has received a grant of $245,869.00 from the State of Minnesota for the 2010 Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Grant to provide a MMRS Regional Planner position, purchase personal protective equipment for EMS responders, and maintain ambulance equipment, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $245,869.00 in excess of the those estimated in the 2011 budget, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following addition be made to the 2011 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant, and hereby approves the changes to the 2011 budget referenced in this resolution, and furthermore authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute and implement the attached grant agreement for the 2010 Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Grant.
