Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of 15 LUCAS devices valued at $303,538.80 from Dr. Demetris Yannopoulos, MD and the ECMO Team with the University of Minnesota.

WHEREAS, Dr. Demetris Yannopoulos, MD, and the ECMO Team with the University of Minnesota have donated 15 LUCAS devices that perform mechanical CPR, valued at $303,538.80 to the Saint Paul Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the donation of the 15 LUCAS devices; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of the donation of the LUCAS devices is to equip our ambulances with this life-saving equipment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of the 15 LUCAS devices from Dr. Demetris Yannopoulos, MD, and the ECMO Team with the University of Minnesota and thanks the doctor and the organization for their generous donation.
