Approving the Five Year Lease of office space for the Office of Neighborhood Safety.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City") is entering into a 5-year lease agreement (the "Lease") with 178 9th St. E. LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“Landlord”) located at 178 9th Street East, Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55101, for a premises comprising 8,000 square feet of rentable office space ("Leased Premises") to house the operations of the City's Office of Neighborhood Safety ("ONS"); and
WHEREAS, the Lease commences on April 1, 2025 and will terminate on March 31, 2030, and ONS has determined that it wishes to occupy the Leased Premises for its operations, as provided in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Section of Financial Services has determined that the agreed upon rent represents the fair market value of the property and the City and Landlord mutually agree to the gross rental rates; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby approve the Lease as described above, and authorize the proper city officials to execute the Lease, as provided in Exhibit A attached hereto.
