Authorizing the City to enter into a cooperative agreement with Ramsey County for the County’s 2023 Pavement Preservation Project.
Body
WHEREAS, Ramsey County’s 2023 Pavement Preservation Project includes improvements to Cleveland Avenue from Ford Parkway to Randolph Avenue, Randolph Avenue from Cleveland Avenue to Brimhall and Maryland Avenue from Albemarle Street to Jackson Street; and
WHEREAS, the City and County desire to reconstruct the traffic signals at the intersections of Cleveland Avenue and Highland Parkway, Randolph Avenue and Fairview Avenue, and Maryland Avenue and Sylvan Street; and
WHEREAS, in addition, the City requests that all casting assemblies on Cleveland Avenue, Randolph Avenue, and Maryland Avenue be replaced within the Project Limits; and
WHEREAS, the cost participation, ownership and maintenance responsibilities of Ramsey County and the City of Saint Paul for project elements are defined in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the agreement contains a mutual indemnification clause, which the Council finds reasonable and appropriate; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2022-25R, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the agreement and any amendments to the agreement.
