Title
Appeal of Katie Elliott to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 1025 HUDSON ROAD.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, October 6, 2020, teleconference between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: The rental license at the property was up for renewal. The inspector has come out and we have tried to rectify the deficiencies caused by tenants. Two units in the building are being cited due to tenants clutter and/or hoarding. We have attempted to work with these tenants to alleviate the problems, but has been unsuccessful. Minnesota currently has an eviction/non-renewal/termination moratorium in place, in which we are not allowed to enforce the lease and thus cannot rectify the deficiency without committing a misdemeanor. Rectifying the situation would be criminal.
Date of Order(s) Under Appeal: September 28, 2020
