Appeal of Elizabeth Kortz to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Approval with Corrections at 845 ORANGE AVENUE WEST.

Purpose of Appeal: A Contractor was to address peeling paint on white garage mid-June, but, due to backlog, had to delay. On 6-10-19, I emailed inspector, Efrayn Franquiz that I could not get an assured-start-date from contractor before 7-15-19, so asked to please extend inspection date to end of July. But, Inspector would only extend to 7-19, (allowing only 4 extra days). The work will be done, just need more time in case of unpredictable weather/circumstances. All other required work is properly completed. Property has been "A" rated prior to this inspection. This garage is never used by tenants.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Elizabeth Kortz to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Approval with Corrections at 845 ORANGE AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant an extension to August 16, 2019 for compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
