Amending the spending and financing plans for various city departments.
Body
WHEREAS the department of Public Works has responded to several snow emergencies and snow events in calendar year 2019, and
WHEREAS this work has exceeded the amounts budgeted to respond to winter weather, and
WHEREAS the Parks department is projected to exceed 2019 budgeted spending, and
WHEREAS other departments within the general fund are projected to spend less than their allocated 2019 budget, and
WHEREAS, general revenues in the areas of franchise fees, excess TIF, and other general fund revenues are expected to exceed the amounts budgeted for 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul does certify that there are available for appropriation funds in access of those anticipated in 2019 budget as indicated in the attachment,
WHERAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 in of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul does certify that there are appropriations available to transfer between departments,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that the city operating budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
