Accepting the gift of travel expenses, lodging, and conference costs, not to exceed $3000, from Transport Group (Hemming Group Ltd.) for Matthew Morreim, Street Maintenance Engineer, to attend and present at Cold Comfort 2019 - Annual Winter Maintenance Conference and Exhibition to be held May 15-16, 2019 in Harrogate, UK.

Whereas, Transport Group has requested Matthew Morreim, Street Maintenance Engineer, to participate and present at Cold Comfort 2019 - Annual Winter Maintenance Conference and Exhibition on May 15-16, 2019 in Harrogate, UK; and,
WHEREAS, The Transport Group has graciously offered to provide conference registration, lodging, and travel expenses not to exceed $3000 for selected participants; and,
WHEREAS, the conference and exhibition provide the highway and transportation industry with a specialist conference dedicated to winter services; and,
WHEREAS, participants will learn about winter maintenance practices in a different region of the world; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this conference will be beneficial to the City by enhancing the work of the city’s winter maintenance program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of travel expenses, lodging and conference registration from Transport Group and thanks Transport Group for their generous gift.
