Title
Amending the budget in the Department of Parks and Recreation by establishing Financing and Spending Plans for a grant received from the development of the Cherokee Regional Park Trail project in the amount of $250,000 for the Cherokee Regional Park Trail project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has received an additional grant for the development of the Cherokee Regional Park Trail project; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary trail plan concept was developed and approved by Parks and Recreation working with the Cherokee Regional Park Design Advisory committee; and
WHEREAS, the approved grant funds are from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources 2009 Parks and Trails Legacy Grant in the amount of $250,000; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation to amend the existing financing and spending plan budget for the Cherokee Regional Trail project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for the appropriation, funds of $250,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2008 Capital Improvement Budget; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the positive advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $250,000 is available for the appropriation in the 2008 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2008 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, it here by further amended as follows:
