Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department in the amount of $124,920 for the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team 2017.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has entered into the Joint Powers Agreement of the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team (02-17064-I); and
WHEREAS, this agreement allows for SPPD’s participation and reimbursement of allowed expenses; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety has awarded Ramsey County a grant to fund this program and Ramsey County has allocated the Saint Paul Police $124,920 of these funds; and
WHEREAS, a 2017 financing and spending plan needs to be established and activity budget added for these grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $124,920 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2017 budget; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves these changes to the 2017 budget.
