Ratifying the assessment for Rubbish and Garbage Clean Up services during August 12 to 26, 2024. (File No. J2507R, Assessment No. 258512)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-1638 accepted the Report of Completion for Rubbish and Garbage Clean Up on Private Properties during the time period of August 12 to August 26, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on February 19, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:
RLH TA 24-510: 2356 Charles Avenue;
RLH TA 24-522: 440 Minnehaha Avenue West;
RLH TA 24-518: 1014 Pacific Street;
RLH TA 25-41: 1204 Seventh Street East;
RLH TA 24-527: 627 Virginia Street; and
WHEREAS, the assessments will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
