Purpose of Appeal
We are doing replacement windows on the house. The two we want to appeal meet the Building Code but not St. Paul Fire Code. They are cost prohibitive by having to open walls and frame new headers. We are hoping these can stay double hung like the rest are.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Victor Hanson to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1538 GRANTHAM STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a .31 square foot variance on the glazed area and a 1-inch variance on the openable height of two double hung replacement egress bedroom windows measuring at 23.59 inches high by 28.56 wide; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
