Authorizing the Office of Financial Services to accept a $39,801 gift from the Saint Paul Foundation to support the communications, outreach, and marketing for the City’s CollegeBound Saint Paul program.
Body
WHEREAS, CollegeBound Saint Paul is the City’s College Savings Account program; and
WHEREAS, the professional services provided will help expand the program website, creating visuals for program materials, executing social media plans and creating short introductory videos to be used in the educational campaign; and
WHEREAS, the gift will be used to receive professional services to provide website translations of the program to ensure language accessibility; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter and by receipt of the gift from the Saint Paul Foundation certifies that there is available for appropriation funds of $39,801 in excess of those dedicated to CollegeBound Saint Paul in 2019; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul does hereby:
1. Authorize the Office of Financial Services to accept the gift dollars in in the amount of $39,801 for CollegeBound Saint Paul.
2. Adopt, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $39, 801 is available for appropriation to CollegeBound Saint Paul, supplemental appropriations as specified in the attached financial analysis form.
