Amending Council File RLH AR 19-141 to delete the assessment for Boarding and/or Securing services during July 2019 at 289 FIFTH STREET EAST, Unit 105. (File No. J2003B, Assessment No. 208102)

 

Body

WHEREAS on January 22, 2020, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 19-141, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Boarding and/or Securing services during July 2019. (File No. J2003B, Assessment No. 208102); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 289 Fifth Street East, being described as: Unit No. 5, Unit No. 7 and Unit No. 8, with the property identification number 32-29-22-33-0386 was assessed an amount of $458; and

 

WHEREAS, Marcia Lindblad, Creed Properties, made a request to review the assessment as they are not responsible for the fee since the burglary did not occur in Unit 105;

 

WHEREAS, file was reviewed on March 27, 2020 and found that the burglary occurred in the taproom owned by the conglomerate of the restaurant owners by the name of “Octofish”; therefore, Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the fees be deleted to Creed Properties and re-assess to the appropriate owner; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $458, plus any accrued interests, be deleted and re-assess to Parcel ID 32-29-22-33-0386, 289 Fifth Street East.  Council File No. RLH AR 19-141 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
