Amending the legal description of a previous vacation resolution for Vernon Place to correct for a potential gap in the legal description of the east line of the West 96 feet.
Body
WHEREAS, On February 9, 1939 the City Council approved the "Vernon Vacation Resolution" (Council File No. 113840) vacating portions of Vernon Place extending approximately 96 feet in length (the "West 96 feet"); and
WHEREAS, prior to the Vernon Vacation Resolution, the City Council approved an "Earlier Vernon Vacation" resolution (Council File No. 29495, Document Nos. 571879 and 571880) vacating portions of Vernon Place located to the immediate east of the West 96 feet; and
WHEREAS, the Vernon Vacation Resolution and the Earlier Vernon Vacation describe the east line of the West 96 feet differently, thereby creating the potential for a gap in the legal description; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby approve a correction to the Vernon Vacation Resolution to amend the legal description of the West 96 feet to read as follows:
That part of Vernon Place which lies east of the east line of Forest Street as opened by order of the Common Council of the City of St. Paul on April 30, 1886 and west of a line which is 96 feet east of said east line of Forest Street and parallel with the northerly extension of the east line of Lot 13, Block 1, J. P. Gribbens Rearrangement A, Ramsey County, Minnesota
; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed ro record a copy of this correction resolution in the office of the Ramsey County Recorder and/or Registrar of Titles.
