Authorizing the City to enter into Contract No.1050910 (which includes indemnification obligations) with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for federal funding for the Rondo Neighborhood Streets Improvement Study.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has been awarded a federal Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant of $1.4 million for the Rondo Neighborhood Streets Improvement Study; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 161.36, MnDOT be appointed as Agent of Local Agency to accept as its agent, federal funds which may be made available for eligible transportation related projects; and
WHEREAS, the MnDOT Agreement requires the City to indemnify MnDOT; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Contract No. 1050910 [for State Project Number 164-080-019, Federal Award Identification Number RAISE 6223(112)], a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement, which includes an indemnification clause.
