Title
Amending the budget in the Fire Department by establishing a Financing and Spending Plan for the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) grant program in the amount of $5,110.59.
 
Body
WHEREAS, as part of the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) grant program, the City of Saint Paul will be reimbursed by the City of Minneapolis for the costs for two city employees to attend the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Regional MMRS workshop in Chicago, IL and the National Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) conference in New Orleans, LA, and the registration fee for one city employee to attend a Toxic Medic training program, and
 
WHEREAS, the total cost of the MMRS grant expenses are $5,110.59, and
 
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant, and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $5,110.59 in excess of those estimated in the 2010 budget, and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additions be made to the 2010 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the changes to the 2010 budget.
