Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $87,000 for a contribution received from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to pay for training for firefighters.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) and the Fire Service Advisory Committee (FSAC) has awarded a contribution of $87,000.00 to the Saint Paul Fire Department to reimburse for costs associated with firefighter training, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this contribution will be used to pay for training for firefighters, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the contribution received, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2012 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, accept this contribution of $87,000.00 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education and the Fire Service Advisory Committee, extend their sincere appreciation to these organizations, and approve the changes to the 2012 budget.
