Authorizing the City to enter into a grant agreement with MnDOT for funding of the Central Safe Routes to School Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has applied to the Commissioner of Transportation for a grant from the Active Transportation Account to fund the Central SRTS Project; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has given notice that funding for this project is available; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works was authorized to apply for and accept this grant by Council Resolution 24-43; and
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant is determined to be $571,000 by reason of the lowest responsible bid; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul does hereby agree to the terms and conditions of the grant consistent with Minnesota Statutes, section 174.38, and will pay any additional amount by which the cost exceeds the estimate, and will return to the Active Transportation Account any amount appropriated for the project but not required; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No.1060104, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
