Amending the assessment for Sanitary Sewer Service Repair to reduce the assessment at 1171 LAFOND AVENUE. (File No. 19093C, Assessment No. 126004)

WHEREAS on March 21, 2012, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. PH 12-38, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for sanitary sewer service connections as requested by the property owners in connection with the Blair/Griggs RSVP, (File No. 19093C, Assessment No. 126004); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1171 Lafond Avenue, being described as: Ruth Livingston Second Addition Lot 28, Blk 6, with the property identifification number 34-29-23-11-0187, was assessed an amount of $2,177.28; and
WHEREAS, the property owner hired a private contractor to repair the service from the house to the property line, and the contractor extended the repair work 13 feet into the street right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the property owner should not be required to pay for work extending into the right-of-way, and the assessment should be reduced to $1,784.16 to omit the cost of the extended work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that said assessment is hereby reduced to $1,784.16, and that all other terms, conditions and assessment amounts previously adopted in RES PH 12-38 shall remain in full force and effect.
