Approving the Mayor’s appointments of Paw Mu Thaw and Rory Vang to a two-year term on the Advisory Committee on Aging.
Body
WHEREAS, Council Resolution 89-2297 establishes the Advisory Committee on Aging and Article V, Section 2 of the bylaws of the Advisory Committee on Aging state that the committee shall consist of fifteen (15) members appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Saint Paul City Council; and
WHEREAS, there are vacancies on the Advisory Committee on Aging; and
WHEREAS, staff for the Youth on Boards program in Saint Paul Parks and Recreation have reviewed applications; and
WHEREAS, the Youth on Boards staff recommend Paw Mu Thaw and Rory Vang for appointment as committee members; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Paw Mu Thaw and Rory Vang to the Advisory Committee on Aging for two-year terms ending on October 31, 2026; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the mayor’s appointment Paw Mu Thaw and Rory Vang to a two-year term ending October 31, 2026, as a member of the Advisory Committee on Aging.
