Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $20,000 for a grant from Ramsey County Public Health to purchase a LUCAS device.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department received funding of $20,000 from Ramsey County Public Health to purchase a LUCAS device; and
WHEREAS, the LUCAS device is a mechanical chest compression device that provides consistent high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation during emergency response; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department received approval to accept this grant on RES 25-1928; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending pans have not been established for the funding received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation of funds of $20,000 in excess of those estimate in the 2026 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additional changes be made to the 2026 budget:

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the funding and hereby approves the changes in the 2026 budget reference in this resolution, and furthermore authorizes the appropriate official to approve this funding.
