Accepting the gift of the costs of travel, food, and lodging from the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance for CRO Russ Stark and Climate Action Coordinator Liz Boyer to attend the annual gathering of the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance in Glasgow, Scotland, on June 16-19, 2025.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has established itself as a leading city in bold climate action; and
WHEREAS, the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance has invited Chief Resilience Officer Russ Stark and Climate Action Coordinator Liz Boyer to observe its annual gathering June 16-19 in Glasgow, Scotland, and to cover the costs of travel, food, and lodging; and
WHEREAS, during the time that City staff are attending this convening, the City of Saint Paul continues to pay their salaries; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that Russ Stark and Liz Boyer’s attendance at the convening will be beneficial to the City in providing a more profound understanding of approaches to equitable climate action, circular economy, and international best practices for reaching community-wide carbon neutrality; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the gift of up to $10,000 to cover the cost of travel, food, and lodging expenses for CRO Russ Stark and Climate Action Coordinator Liz Boyer to attend the June 16-19, 2025 convening in Glasglow, Scotland, and thanks the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance for its generous gift.
