Appeal of Natosha Carney to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1544 BEECH STREET.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, December 15, 2020, teleconference call between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: Vacant owner. I've done everything to get it up to code. There was some issues with the permits which I've applied for. I am homeless. The furnace is properly installed. I have no problem paying fees related. I just need my home for living purposes.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Natosha Carney to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1544 BEECH STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal but will waive the vacant building fee through April 8, 2021; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby allows re-occupancy of the property upon repair or replacement of the heating system under permit by a licensed contractor, if this permit is finalled by April 8, 2021, noting that if the work is not completed by this date, the property will be subject to a code compliance inspection and certificate prior to re-occupation.
